CONSULTING
COMMUNITY
AND OUTREACH
TYIM prides itself not only on its wonderful art programs and
exhibitions, but the personal nature of its outreach and community
projects and programs. TYIM believes in a family environment and
an up close and in person approach to clients and TYIM educational
programs. Diversity education is about communication and people,
and the goal just can’t be reached with a snap shot and
a memo. TYIM believes in hands on, real people, real product,
real results.
Over the course of 10 years TYIM has established many beautiful
relationships among speakers, performers, artists, and a wide
range of educators and business professionals. During this journey
TYIM has worked diligently to bring to the community excellent,
free, diversity programs. With the help from some of these great
relationships which TYIM has forged, TYIM has been able to create
some outstanding and successful outreach projects and programs
accessible to the community. TYIM has put on a variety of speaking
engagements by noted and or popular diversity educators, authors
and community activists, discussing a wide range of diversity
oriented subject matter. TYIM has also created and produced community
informationals discussing art and diversity issues and topics
of the day as well as community picnics, book fairs and mentoring
programs all of which have been successful outreach projects and
programs.
One of these outstanding programs is the TYIM Building Bridges
Book Club which is open to the community free of charge. The TYIM
book club reads and discusses a wide range of diversity oriented
materials covering a variety of topics such as race, ethnicity,
culture, alternative lifestyles and how it relates and or effects
children, adolescence, adults, families and communities. TYIM
book club reviews, reads and discuses a variety of reading materials
from top rated novels, to important newspaper and magazine articles
of the day. The book club is one example of the effort and commitment
put forth by TYIM and the community to come together and make
a difference.
TYIM believes in community awareness and cultural competence and
puts forth a maximum effort to create outreach and community programs
that educate and empower the individual as well as the community.
The programs are inspirational, educational, accessible and affordable.
